About the programme

The Automation Engineering programme gives you broad knowledge and insight into the construction and optimisation of technical control systems on your own and together with others.

The Automation Engineering programme matches the industrial enterprises of the future.


You will learn about:

  • Electrical engineering and measuring techniques
  • Control and regulation technology as well as robotics technology
  • Configuration and programming
  • Preparation and dissemination of technical documentation
  • Network technology
  • Construction and project management of automation processes
  • Installation and optimisation of large industrial constructions or industrial production

Programme structure

In the two-year programme you will be working with how to use specifications to select the optimum hardware solution and develop software, ranging from PLCs, over PCs to embedded SW controls.


Go abroad

You will be able to take your 3-month internship abroad. Learn more about your international possibilities.


As a graduate

Automation engineers are in charge of practical installation work such as mounting, commissioning, optimisation and operation of automatic systems in production environments.

Service and operations may also be included in the job functions of the automation engineers.


Automation engineers may perform this work either as employees in a production plant or as employees of suppliers or sub-suppliers of such systems.
